In 1985, when Alexander Strauch was preparing to publish his landmark title, Biblical Eldership: An Urgent Call to Restore Biblical Church Leadership, some dear friends suggested the establishment of a new publishing company. If they could set up their own publisher, they reasoned, they would have the freedom to give the books away to missionaries and others that could not afford the material.

More than 25 years later, that vision is still the heart of our company. No matter what the medium, God continues to use Church Reform & Revitalization, Inc. to provide challenging, Biblical and practical teaching— often using our generous and committed team of financial supporters to provide those goods and services at no cost to the recipient.

Financial contributions to these ministries are used as follows:

Church Reform & Revitalization: For more than 25 years, Church Reform & Revitalization has had an ongoing ministry of providing Biblical resources to church leaders and others throughout the world, with a special emphasis on missions organizations working outside of the USA. Under the leadership of Alexander Strauch, CRR gives away thousands of books each year, always working to put quality teaching materials in the hands of "faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:2) Donations to Church Reform & Revitalization will help fund the distribution of free literature.

Family Counsel: Family Counsel, under the leadership of Doyle Roth, has been addressing the needs of families for almost 30 years. Through one-on-one counseling, large group teaching and the Oops! series of books, Family Counsel continues to bring practical and Biblical help to families worldwide. Donations to Family Counsel will help fund ongoing ministry, including family counseling and the distribution of free literature.

Biblical Eldership Resources: The vision of Biblical Eldership Resources is to see a well-functioning Biblical Eldership model in widespread use among churches around the world. To this end, BER is developing a team of leaders to provide teaching, mentoring and a high-quality website that will make resources available in parts of the world that do not readily have access to this important material.
